The RPT-485_422-2 is a compact, rugged, industrial-grade, bi-directional RS422 to RS485 converter / RS422 RS485 repeater, which can be used to convert any standard two-wire half-duplex RS-485 port into a four-wire full-duplex RS422 port and vice versa. It can also be used to extend the RS-485 or RS-422 distance to up to 4000 ft (1.2km). The unit is powered from an external 5V DC regulated power supply (included); it also supports data direction auto-turnaround. Therefore, it requires no software drivers or flow control, making the unit a highly reliable and truly plug-and-play device.
